Ross Strawbridge
Ross is the firm’s sole director and has a wide history of involvement in the accounting industry in New Zealand. His experience covers most industries and areas of expertise. He was involved in corporate accounting for 12 years during which he gained significant management experience. Ross enjoys applying both his marketing and accounting knowledge for the benefit of clients.
Ross established his own chartered accountancy practice in 1998.
Outside of work, Ross enjoys motorcycling, rugby, home renovating and fishing.
Ross Stevenson
Ross has been involved in the Accountancy Profession since the early 1980’s and has experience in small to medium sized businesses, in particular farming and agricultural sectors.
Outside of work, Ross is a keen golfer and is club captain at Tasman Golf Club. He is also on the board of the Big Brothers Big Sisters mentoring scheme in Nelson. In addition he has a long running involvement with Rotary International, having been a past Treasurer and President of his local club, as well as having been on the board of the Rotary District that covers most of the South Island.
Alana Prendergast
Alana provides administation support to Amanda Creswell, Lisa De Gray, Rachel Pickering and Katie Mills.
Outside of work, Alana enjoys art and cooking.
Brett Goodwin
Brett is experienced in general accountancy as well as internal management accounting and general taxation. He has recently completed his professional Chartered Accounting qualification while working at Strawbridge & Associates Ltd.
Outside of work, Brett enjoys riding his off road motorbike and tinkering with his computers.
Dawn Day
Dawn has substantial experience in general financial reporting and taxation.
Outside of work, Dawn enjoys painting and tennis.
Amanda Creswell
Amanda is a qualified chartered accountant with 11 years‘ experience in chartered accountancy, having started with Ross Strawbridge’s firm in 2002. Amanda has substantial experience in financial reporting, taxation and management reporting.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys her young family, gardening and self-sufficient living.
Diane Smith
As well as providing support to the client managers, Diane is our Companies Office expert. Diane provides administration support to Michael Parker, Dawn Day, Liz Willis, Brett Goodwin and Ross Stevenson.
Outside of work Diane enjoys renovating, genealogy and spending time with her dog, Ben.
Erin Musgrove
Erin is a new B.com graduate and now working towards her Chartered Accountants qualifications. She assists the other client managers as needed preparing annual accounts, tax returns and preparing GST.
Outside of work Erin enjoys netball, speedway and spending time with her pets.
Katie Mills
Katie works in compliance accounting and in providing software reviews and implementation for our clients.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys travelling and spending time with her husband and pets.
Lisa De Gray
Lisa’s focus is on providing consulting services to develop and build small businesses through a virtual CFO type of role. This role includes customised strategy and planning formulation, risk analysis, information systems and regular feedback to clients.
Outside of work, Lisa is a board member of Nelson Bays Football and enjoys softball, snowboarding and gardening.
Michael Parker
Michael is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a background in audit and assurance, business process analysis and financial reporting. He has experience working with a variety of different organisations in various different industries.
Michael joined Strawbridge & Associates Limited in 2016, following four years with Deloitte in Wellington.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys rugby, mountain biking and fishing.
Laura McRobert
Laura has recently ventured from the world of reception into a support administration role for our client managers. Laura provides administration support to Nathan Silcock, Robert Learmonth, Rachel Pickering and Rebecca Rousselle.
Liz Willis
Liz is experienced in general financial reporting and taxation and has a strong farm accounting background.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys walking her dog and swimming.
Nathan Silcock
Nathan has a background in taxation, management accounting, trusts and strategic analysis. Nathan also has extensive experience in international tax issues, including residency analysis, working with international tax treaties, preparing tax returns with foreign source income, claiming foreign tax credits, liaising with foreign tax experts and various other international tax issues.
Nathan joined the firm in February 2012. Prior to this, he spent 4 years working for PwC in general and specific tax roles.
In his spare time, Nathan enjoys tramping and poker.
Rachel Pickering
Rachel is experienced in Financial Reporting & Taxation. Rachel joined Strawbridge & Associates Limited in 2015 and is currently working towards gaining her Chartered Accounting qualifications.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys activities spent with her husband and pup.
Rebecca Rousselle
Rebecca is experienced in general financial reporting and taxation matters.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family.
Robert Learmonth
Robert has experience as an accountant in the construction and manufacturing industries and also specialising in management accounting and reporting.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys playing golf.
Tayla Trathen
Tayla is our receptionist, she is usually the first point of contact for our valued clients and also helps with general office duties.
